We had a GREAT pre-registration, however, it is NOT TOO LATE to register for this years convention....REGISTRATION FORMS are printedin eah edition of the ND LION NEWSPAPER.

The INTERNATIONAL INN has a block of roos set aside for the Convention at a very readonable rate of $51.00/night. To make reservations: 701-852-3161

A schedule of events will be printed in September & October editions of the ND LION...You won't want to miss....ICE-BREAKER PARTY FRIDAY, OCT 28th 7 to 9 PM Join us for a fun evening. "Sock Hop" atmosphere, with a JukeBox full of 50's and 60's music, vintage cars and mororcycles, popcorn, appetizers & beverages.....get out those letter jackets (& sweaters), rollup your blue jeans and DON'T FORGET the poodle skirts.....should be FUN!!!

10th - The Fargo Lions go off-site today. Meeting moves from Radisson to Old Broadway

  Walk over to NDSU Downtown Building for tour of the facility.
13th - Lions World Sight Day. Special activities are being planned by the PR Committee involving Hornbachers and honoring Lion Wally Johnson. Details will be shared on the 10th.
15th - Lions Mystery Bus Trip (social event). Meet at the east side of the parking lot at South Fargo K-Mart at 10 AM. The bus will return by 6 PM. Dress casually. The cost of the trip is $20/person. Guests are welcome! A good time will be had by all! Don't miss this. Sign up at the Monday noon meeting. Contact Lion BLake Strehlow for mor information (although he will not tell you where we are going).

  Regular Meeting at the Radisson from 12-1 PM. New Member Induction. District 5NE Governor Al Kahlbaugh from Grand Forks will be on hand to lead the induction and will share his thoughts about the club, district, and Lions International. We encourage everyone to attend this meeting.
18th - Litter Pick Up on South University Drive. Those interested should contact Lion Dave Rogness or sign up at the noon meeting. Meet at the northweat corner of the intersection of University Drive and 32nd Ave S

26th - The MD-5 Planning Committee will meet from 5-5:15 PM at the new location for Heartland Trust (just off 13th Ave S and 25th St). All division heads and committee chairs are asked to be present. The clock starts now.
28-30th- North Dakota State Lions Convention in Minot
  The Following Lions have indicated they plan to represent the club: Katherine Tweed, Rob Lien, Karla Lien, Dave Butler, Robert Littlefield, Mark Jensen, Edi Falk, Bruce Furness, Mel Olson, and Joe Dobbs. Others are considering. Reservations can be made at the International Inn in Minot. Rate is $51/room. There will be several vehicles leaving at various times, so trasportation should not e an issue. Those planning to drive should make that known so if others want to ride, they know who to contact.
31st - Regular Meeting at the Radisson from 12-1 PM. New Member and Lions Information Day. A second induction is scheduled to bring into membership two additional people who were unable to attend on the 17th. All newly inducted members, their sponsors, board members, committee chairs and all other Fargo Lions will be presented with an information program about how the Fargo Lions Club works and what we do.
