How To Join

Interested individuals should contact a member of the Fargo Lions Club to get more information and an invitation to one of our upsoming meetings. Our club meets on Monday, beginning September 8, 2008 from 12-1 PM at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Fargo.

Steps to Membership

1. Contact a member of the Fargo Lions Club and secure an invitation to attend a regular meeting of the Club. The Fargo Lions Club meets every Monday from 12-1 PM at the Radisson Hotel in Downtown Fargo (3rd floor).

Individuals interested in attending a meeting should contacte Mona Tedford (701-492-2632) to reserve a meal. There is no charge for your meal if you are considering whether or not to join the Fargo Lions Club. Check in upon arrival.

2. Visit the club as a guest. At the meetings, you will learn about the Fargo Lions Club, what we do, and why current members feel so much satisfaction in belonging to the Club.

3. If you are intrested in membership in the Fargo Lions Club, CLICK HERE and print out a copy of the membership application. Complete the application and return it to the Vice President for Membership (Mark Hanson) or the Lion who invited you to join the club. You should attach a $40 check one-time induction fee. Make the check payable to : Fargo Lions Club. If you are transferring from another Lions CLub, the induction fee is waived. However, you must still complete the application. For more information about this process, contact Mark Janson at 701-237-5377.

4. The Board of Directors will meet and consider your application. You will be notified of the Board's decision promptly. In the meantime, you are welcome to continue attending Club meetings and functions (at no or reduced cost, depending upon the function).

5. Once invited to membership, you will be inducted as a member.

6 An orientation meeting for new members will be scheduled following your induction. At that time, committee assignments will be made and information about all aspects of the Club will be further explained.

TIER ONE FULL MEMBERSHIP : Company Sponsored - paid by employer
Note : Tier One is intended to be comparable to other area service clubs whose members are corporate sponsored. It is the individual member's resposibility to select the appropriate tier for their situation and communicate that to the Club Treasurer.

TIER FOUR        
Fargo Lions Club Members who are unable to attend or choose not to attend the weekly meetings and want to continue their membership will be excused from paying the cost of meals provided they pay their local and intenational dues and make annual cash or in-kind contributions that meet or exceed $1,000 in value. Meals consumed will be billed accordingly. Members seeking this status must submit a written request to the Board prior to the start of quarter in which they plan to make the contribution for the following year. This status is subject to annual review by the Board.
