FARGO MARATHON UPDATE

Hello Service Projects Committee, Social Committee and Neil Jordheim:

Attached is the current list of volunteers for our Aid Station at the Fargo Marathon. We have 28.5 volunteers---they requested 25-30 volunteers--so at this point we are good to go--but anyone else would still be more than welcome to come.

Last night I attended the Team Captain's Meeting and got more of the details. Many of our volunteers worked the Aid Station last year, and there are no changes to the Aid Stations this year. All Lions Aid Station volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend the Training Session next week. There will be 2 available to attend. Tuesday, May 15 @ 6 pm and Wednesday, May 16 @ 6pm---both are at the Fargodome. Last night, I was able to pick up the T-shirts for the volunteers we have as of 5/8. Any additional volunteers will have to pick theirs up at the Team Training. I will bring the t-shirts to our meeting on Monday.

This year we are doing a 50's Theme for our Aid Station! Everyone is encouraged to come wearing their 50's clothes and t-shirts. In addition, the social committee has joined forces with ours to feed us and get our groove on. It should be a fun and festive atmosphere.
