ELECTION OF OFFICERS: We are quickly approaching the time when new officers will be elected for the coming year. If you have an interest in becoming an officer or taking a leadership position, please contact Lion Robert Littlefield or Lion Mona Tedford.

Lion Robert invites all new Lions to attend new member orientation on April 4 in Valley City. This is an excellent way to learn more about Lionism both in Fargo and around the world. For more information contact Lion Robert Littlefield.

From Lion Larry Zich: A small but hard working group of Fargo Lions worked as the street patrol at the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. We had a very large crown on a beautiful spring day.

MEMBERSHIP: April is Lions International membership month. Do you know someone that should be a Lion? We will be having an induction ceremony in April. You could be honored as a sponsor of a new Lion. It is time to act!

Fargo Lions: Our club made a $500 contribution to support the family event for visually impaired children who attend the Fargo School System. In appreciation, we have all been invited to attend the Family Event on April 30-May 1, 2009. There will be a concert starring Tom Sullivan on Thursday April 30th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Fargo South High School Theater. As a speaker Tom's speaking career spans over twenty years. There are many reasons he consistently ranks as one of the most impactful speakers over the last two decades. Tom takes preparation seriously. He understands his clients, their themes, and their messages. As an actor he understands the many roles he can fulfill in your event. As a producer he understands the importance of executing a theme. Tom is an outstanding keynote speaker and more. For more information go to his website http://www.sullivanspeaks.com/

Service Dogs of America: Jud, ND: Our Lions Club supports this very valuable service. Attached is a newsletter that talks about another alliance they have made to expand their service delivery options. Take a look.

South Carolina Lions Offer Us Help: We received the following email from our fellow Lions. Isn’t it great that we are all connected to such a great organization!

Hello,

I know you all have a host of troubles up there, but as the upcoming president of the Six Mile Lions Club in South Carolina, let us know if you need some support.  We're small, but as you well know, drops make a river.

Several years ago, we had Hurricane Hugo devastated the coast of SC.  The state Lions got together and helped a lot of folks.
